- His correspondence on the subject, with dates
- The passages usually quoted second-hand, checked against the collected works
- Where he was sceptical, which is more often than the popular version admits
The shape of the argument
He was interested, he ran an experiment, he was ambivalent about what it showed, and he did not endorse astrology as a predictive system. Establish each of those with a source or leave it out.
